Guadalupe state park - got some nice water there in the river...except there are all these rocks all over the place under the water. Otherwise, pretty nice

Chillin down in Galveston today and for the next 5 weeks. Good ole MCAT scores come out soon...and I hope I don't have to retake that test. The beach is nice down here, no hot asians have arrived yet but i've found some good lookin ones down at Hong Kong Market. The beach is dirty but we don't got one down in El Paso so its all gravy. Otherwise all we do is eat, chill, party, and sleep in class (sleeping should be chaging that next week we'll see).

Here's some pics if you wanna check it out...http://www.utep.edu/nng

The MCAT is now over!

Saturday, April 16 was an extremely long day. My friend Brittany called me the night before and reminded me that we were to get there at 8:00AM instead of 9:00AM which was a good thing bc we probably would have missed the test.

So the day started with my alarm set at 6:30AM. From there my friend Danny showed up and we went to get breakfast at good ole McD's (its not as unhealthy as you think it is). Then came time for the evil test to start. As usual they had to read all 20 pages of instructions as to what you can and can not do in the testing center and so blah blah blah...Throughout this all, I felt a sense of peace like none other that could only come from God above. With that we started the physical science section that didn't turn out to be too bad at all. I was partially distracted however by the girl next to me...for some reason she was sick that day and showed up and decided to leave 45 minutes into the test...poor girl...what a waste. So then came the evil verbal section. As usual it was beastly but somehow i made it through. Lunch was a good relief as usual and we walked across the street to our support groups and scarfed down a couple of subs. From there the home stretch...first the writing section which handed me out some nice topics and then the good ole bio section. There were two passages of full blown organic in them! Man I hate organic...its like the chemists were high when they discovered that portion of chemistry. You think its simple cuz its just a bunch of C's...its all an illusion. And from there came the big relief as we walked out happy that we had finished it but hopeless as to the possible mistakes we could have made. I now this thing called time back...and a life...that's always a good thing.

It's interesting how periods of trial and difficulty can reveal to us how really weak we are. I discovered this and how much we really need God in all situations and not just when we are under tremendous pressures. I do admit that without times like these we wouldn't be able to realize the immense desire that God has to help us and show us that He is there. So for all of you going through some hard times, don't look at it as something bad, but rather see it as an opportunitiy for you to get closer to God. Unless you are put in a situation you'll never be able to fully know how much God plays an active role in your life.

SPECIAL THANKS TO AMY LEE FOR PUTTING TOGETHER THE MCAT SURVIVAL KIT!!!!!!!!!! ITS VERY NICE YOU ALL SHOULD SEE IT SOMEDAY

Second of all I'd like to thank all of you for sending me some encouraging words before the big day! I really appreciate it and it has been an inspiration for me to push on towards the goal. I don't have time to give separate shout outs right now, but I will as soon as Saturday is over.

As for now...I ask anyone and everyone to be praying for me this week. Its been a stressful journey and this last mile really needs to count extra. Again I thank God especially and you all for getting me this far! I'll let you all know how it went...again on Sunday.

Take care and THANKS!

Today i went skiing agian...and it was all good until we decided to try something different. We tried to go on apache bowl but it was across the way (refer to map). We couldn't get across cuz there was a ravine between the two mountains so we conitnued off trail in this deep snow that no one has gone on at all. Soon we have to carry our skiis and stuff for 50 feet becuase it was soo deep.  We soon locate a blue trail which was more like a black. Half way down the trail turned from a 40 degree slope to a 20 degree slope. I had to get off my skiis and then try to go down on all fours. Iit becomes soo steep that I can't stop sliding down the trail on my butt. I just end up going and going and going down on my stomac for the first 30 feet. Just helpless old me and 3 other people trying to get off this hard trail. We spent about 20 minutes struggling to get down. It really sucked...I slid on my butt for at least 150  feet until i got down to a place that was not vertical. With this nice body workout i couldn't ski down something that I had done an hour ago in 5 minutes. Btw here's an idea of what it was all about.
